MEET THE FOUNDER

Hi, I’m Alexia.

Every child deserves to feel understood, supported, and celebrated for who they are.

I’m a pediatric occupational therapist and the founder of Kiddo Connections. I help families connect their child’s needs with practical strategies that make everyday life feel more manageable.

THE BEGINNING OF A LIFELONG PASSION

Belonging came first.

Long before becoming an occupational therapist, I was naturally drawn to working with children and building meaningful connections with them. In high school, as a member of the cheerleading squad, I started Cheer Buddies, a program that paired children with special needs with our cheerleading team.

My goal was simple: for every Buddy to participate, have fun, and experience the joy of belonging. The children and their parents also opened my eyes to the everyday struggles families face. Looking back, that was the beginning of what became my life’s passion.

Across the places where childhood happens.

Over the years, I’ve worked in day camps, preschools, elementary schools, homes, communities, and pediatric therapy settings. These experiences confirmed what I had always felt: I wanted to dedicate my career to helping children succeed and supporting the families navigating that journey alongside them.

Founded to help families move from questions to confident action.

Parents deserve more answers, not more overwhelm.

Throughout my career, I saw many parents leave appointments with more questions than answers. They received a diagnosis, felt overwhelmed, and were unsure what to do next or how to help their child in everyday life. That is why I created Kiddo Connections.

My mission is to work with families on an individualized plan that relieves everyday stressors so they can confidently support their child’s needs. Whether the concern is sensory processing, emotional regulation, behavior, motor skills, school success, or daily activities, my goal is to help families connect the dots.

OUR MISSION

To connect families with the knowledge, resources, and strategies they need to help their children reach their fullest potential.

Through collaboration, education, and personalized support, we empower parents to navigate each stage of their child’s development with confidence.

"Therapy should not stop when a session ends. Parents are their child’s greatest advocate, and with the right knowledge and support, they can create meaningful change that lasts a lifetime."

A COMFORTABLE FIRST STEP

I’m honored to be part of your family’s journey.

Reaching out can feel overwhelming. We can begin by helping you better understand your child, celebrate their strengths, and build the confidence to help them thrive.
